Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Kigali – Transfer to Bwindi National Park
A tour guide from Tales of Africa safaris will be at your hotel to start the tour with you after breakfast. You should have your bags back for the short 2 days Uganda gorilla trip which will be driving you from Rwanda crossing borders in Uganda to Bwindi national park or Mgahinga forest for your gorilla trekking adventure. On this tour, you will first explore Kigali city to see the Gisozi genocide memorial site and local markets in Kigali as well as other historical sites within the city center before driving off into Uganda. Dinner and Overnight at Rushaga Gorilla Camp, Bakiga lodge, Ichumbi Gorilla lodge, Four Gorillas Lodge, Buhoma lodge. Mahogany springs loge, Gorilla forest camp for luxury.
Day 2: Gorilla Safari – Transfer back to Kigali
The day sets off with breakfast at your lodge and with backed lunch drive to the Bwindi forest park offices where you will meet other tourists who will be doing gorilla trekking with you. You will have briefing about the gorilla trekking experience so that you are ready for the awaited adventure. You will split into groups of 8 people and head into the forest trekking your respective gorilla families guided by experienced tour guides. Feel free to ask any questions to your guides as you hike the dense forests searching for your gorilla family. Make sure to take a porter for this memorable adventure as he carries your back park and holds your hand when the forest gets rough.
You will spend 1 hour with the gorillas observing the behavior of the gorilla family and taking videos and pictures. You will return to the starting point to receive your certificates of gorilla trekking and conservation in Africa.
Return to your accommodation for lunch and be ready to drive back to Kigali for your departure flight or the guide will drop you at your accommodation depending on request.
