The 10 Days Uganda Wildlife safari starts with a visit to Murchison falls National Park Uganda to see the magnificent roaring falls where the world’s longest river the Nile waters squeezes through a narrow cleft in the rift valley escarpment to pour into a frothing pool making a roaring sound. Later visit Kibale national park, the park with the highest concentration of primates in Africa. Home to over 13 primates’ species and over 325 bird species, Kibale is the best place to track habituated chimpanzees, Enjoy fantastic wildlife viewing in Uganda’s largest savannah park. Get the chance to view large concentrations of hippos, birds, elephants along the Kazinga channel and lastly gorilla trek in Bwindi impenetrable national park.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival – Transfer to your hotel in Kampala
Your tour guide from Tales of Africa Safaris shall be waiting for your arrival at the airport to transfer you to your hotel in Kampala. For early arrivals, you will have a city tour of Kampala. Dinner and overnight at Kampala Serena hotel (luxury), Lapetite village (Midrange), hotel Triangle(budget)
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park – Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Your guide will pick you up early morning from your hotel, and hit the road driving to Murchison Falls national park en route rhino tracking at Zziwa Rhino sanctuary and lunch at Amuka lodge and then proceed to Murchison falls national park. On arrival you will drive to the top of he falls where you will have a tour around the falls; hear the roaring thunder of the river Nile. Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge (luxury), Pakuba Lodge (midrange) and Red Chili Rest Camp (budget)
Day 3: Game drives and a boat cruise
After breakfast, go for a morning game drive on the southern banks of the river. The morning drive will take you through different habitats. On the drive, you will have an opportunity to watch some of Africa’s unspoilt big game and may also see some of the the BIG 5 – lions, elephants, buffaloes and leopards. Other wildlife to see includes giraffes, Hartebeest, Bushbucks, Jackal, hyena, oribis, Uganda kobs and many others. After lunch, you will carry out a launch cruise which will take you to the bottom of the falls along the River Nile. The Nile hosts large concentrations of Hippos and crocodiles. For the birders, Murchison Falls is a birder’s paradise with concentration is many bird including the rare shoebill stork, Fish Eagle, African Skimmer, Grey-crowned Crane, Black-headed Gonolek, Goliath Heron, Green-winged, Long-toed Plover, Saddle-billed Stork, . Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge, Sambiya River Lodge and Red Chili Rest Camp.
Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National park
Wake up early for breakfast at your hotel and be ready to transfer to Kibale national park national park reaching in the time for lunch. In the afternoon head out for a community walk to visit the crater lakes region where you will have spectacular views of the Lakes. Dinner and overnight stay at chimpanzee guest house (budget)/crater safari lodge (mid range)/Kyaninga lodge (luxury)
Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking – Bigodi swamp tour
You will wake very early in the morning have breakfast and get your packed lunch and then head to Kanyanchu park headquarters in Kibale forest national park where you will be allocated a guide who will brief you and you then head for chimpanzee tracking in the forest. Kibale forest national park is called the primate capital of east Africa because of the high primate population it has. It’s the only national park in east Africa where one can have the best primate tracking viewing the chimpanzee man’s closest primate and many other primates like monkeys plus a number of bird species.
You will get chance to have your lunch in the wild as you listen to the sights and sounds of the forest. After tracking, you will return to the park headquarters, relax a bit and head to the Bigodi wetlands if you are interested in birding or visit the Bigodi community for community tourism and later return to your lodge

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park – Afternoon Boat Cruise
Set off early after your breakfast at your hotel for Queen Elizabeth national park on a 4 – 5 hours’ drive. Enroute you will have a game drive through the Ishasha sector of the park where you will have a unique opportunity to view tree climbing lions. Head to your hotel for lunch and in the afternoon go out for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. Return to your hotel for Dinner and overnight at; Enganzi Lodge (budget), Marafiki safari lodge (midrange) and Mweya safari lodge (luxury)
Day 7: Morning Game Drive – Transfer to Kalinzu Game Reserve for Chimps Tracking
Today you will set off quite early with packed breakfast and head out for your early morning game drive to catch sight of the early risers. This is the best time to see wildlife along the Kasenyi trail. Expect to see elephants, buffaloes, lions, waterbucks, Uganda Kobs and quite a number of others. Return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon head to Kalinzu forest reserve for chimpanzee tracking. Dinner and overnight at Enganzi Lodge (budget), Marafiki safari lodge (midrange) and Mweya safari lodge (luxury)
Day 8: Drive to Bwindi through Ishasha Sector
Have breakfast to transfer to Bwindi impenetrable National Park, a home to 360 mountain gorillas. The journey goes through the Ishasha sector famous for Tree-Climbing lions. Take a community walk where you will be entertained in some of the cultural dances of the Batwa Pygmies. Dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs or Gorilla Forest Camp (Luxury)/ Silverback Lodge (Midrange)/Buhoma Community Bandas or wagtail eco safari camp (Budget)
Day 9: Gorilla Trekking – Batwa Community
Today is your gorilla trekking day. Wake up early for breakfast and with a packed lunch at your hotel, set off with your guide to the park head offices where you will attend a briefing session from a head guide. Trekking for gorillas in Bwindi requires visitors to be physically fit as it involves hiking for long hours. Time taken to finally meet your group may last from 1 – 8 hours depending on the movement of your group. Once you meet the gorillas, only one hour is allowed during which you get to observe, take pictures, and study how they interact with one another.
Later return back to your lodge for relaxing and later head out for a cultural visit to the Batwa pygmies’ community. The Batwa were the original forest inhabitants before they were forced away from the forest to conserve home for the endangered mountain gorillas.
Day 10: Departure
After breakfast, you will transfer back to Kampala with en route stopover in Mbarara town for Lunch.
